The Beueler Brückenforum is going to be painted in yellow, grey and white. The choice of colour is obviously a compromise after the more than three years of dispute about the right colour scheme. Although the city of Bonn is not the executor of the façade painting, it is involved in the decision-making process as co-owner. The main owner of the Brückenforum in Beuel is the Treureal Property Management GmbH, which, however, has on several occasions failed to respond to requests from the General-Anzeiger.

Andrea Schulte from the Press Office of the City of Bonn then announced: "After feedback from the site manager, the painting will be done as agreed in the colours yellow, grey and white. The canopies were removed for scaffolding and painting." On the part of the Lower Monument Authority, the original colour yellow was not requested, but during the voting process in August 2019, a grey-grey proposal was judged too dark, according to the city. "In principle, a yellow as well as a grey colouring are justifiable in the protection of the surroundings of the Mehlemsche Haus under monument law. The permission for yellow, grey and white was then granted as applied for", said Andrea Schulte.
