Bonn · With temperatures up to 11 degrees the week started relatively mild. However, stormy gusts are also possible in between. We take a look at the weather on the carnival days.
After hurricane "Sabine" kept Bonn and the region in suspense last week, hurricane "Victoria" again caused stormy weather in Bonn and the region at the weekend. Since the beginning of the week the weather situation has calmed down a bit, but gusts are still possible in NRW on Tuesday, according to the German Weather Service. There will be changing clouds and showers at times. Also on Wednesday it will be partly cloudy and rain is possible. It will be up to nine degrees.
Weather on Weiberfastnacht
It's very similar on Weiberfastnacht. It may rain in the morning, but the rain will stop after 10 a.m., says meteorologist Matthias Ohnheiser from the German Weather Service. The sun will be barely visible, it will remain heavily clouded. The good news for the carnivalists: with temperatures of up to 12 degrees, it will be pleasantly mild. Caution is advised on the way home in the night to Friday: For a short time it may get very windy.
Weather on carnival Friday
According to Ohnheiser, it will remain dry for most of the day on Friday. It will be mild and the sun can be seen in parts.
Weather on carnival Saturday and Sunday
The carnival weekend will be changeable. A low pressure system brings rain and the sun can hardly get through. Especially on Saturday it can also be windy. At least the temperatures will remain mild over the next few days: throughout the weekend, the maximum temperatures will be at least ten degrees.
Weather on Rosenmontag
Good news for the street carnival on Rose Monday: Monday will be one of the mildest days, says Ohnheiser. It will remain dry for the most part and temperatures may reach 14 degrees.
Weather on Veilchendienstag
Veilchendienstag follows Rosenmontag in terms of weather: DWD advises Tuesday will be partly cloudy with temperatures reaching 12 degrees. Light rain and gusts of wind are also possible.
