Bonn Research conducted for a television program shows that H&M will be closing several stores across Germany, including the one in Bonn. The retailer would not confirm the information.
Swedish fashion chain H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is apparently sticking by its announcement last spring that it would be closing down several H&M stores across Germany. According to research from political magazine program “Kontraste” on ARD television, nine H&M stores will be affected, including the one in Bonn.
Workers’ council statistics show that the closings would affect around 260 employees in Germany. “Kontraste” made an enquiry to H&M but the fashion retailer would not confirm the information. It provided a written statement, saying that it was part of their routine work to make “adjustments where necessary.”
