Mitch Ryder: Rhythm & Blues aus Detroit City

You only had to read the faces of the fans in front of the stage and knew immediately: The Rock Foghorn from Detroit hasn't been that good for a long time.Up and down the country, Mitch Ryder celebrated rock music. "That's how Jim Morrison would sound at the age of 71," wrote the venerable ZEIT, the WDR dedicated a one-hour radio report to the rock warhorse and the Berliner Zeitung asked: "When was the last time the Stones laid down 'Gimme Shelter' like this, maybe thirty years ago?“ Now the singer with the lurking vibrato in his voice is again on his way through the clubs and halls with his current CD in his touring luggage. "This will probably be my most important and certainly one of the best albums I have ever made," says Mitch Ryder about this album which doesn't need to shy away from comparison with his 1979 masterpiece "Naked But not Dead".
