List of Bonn pools Outdoor swimming pools open on Thursday in Bonn

Bonn · It’s that time of year again when the outdoor swimming pools open their doors. And for the first weekend, the weather is definitely showing its sunnier side. Wondering where to go? Here's a list of pools opening on May 25.

It’s finally the season once again: From May 25 until September 3, Bonn outdoor swimming pools will be open to the public. During this period, the indoor swimming pools remain closed because there are not enough personnel to staff both indoor and outdoor pools at the same time. The Hardtberg indoor pool is an exception and will re-open during extended phases of bad weather. The City of Bonn has a page that informs residents of the latest swimming pool openings.

There is no sign of bad weather for the start of the swimming season. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach 22°C with a mix of sun and clouds, and on the weekend, temperatures are expected to climb to 30°C. Friday is expected to be mostly sunny.

Opening times of Bonn outdoor swimming pools

Pools are open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am until 8 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, they are open from 11 am until 8 pm. Season tickets which have been pre-ordered are available at the cash registers. Tickets for adults cost four euros and for young people 7 to 18-years-old they cost 2.50 euros.

In the last weeks, preparations have been underway for the openings. All pools were emptied, cleaned and disinfected and the water lines rinsed out. All the technical facilities have also been proofed. The water values are constantly controlled. As well, the walls, floors and showers and toilets have been cleaned and disinfected. It’s all good to go.
