Bad Godesberg tunnel B9 tunnel closures due to maintenance
Bad Godesberg · For those who use the Bad Godesberg tunnel regularly, there will some inconvenience at nighttime when partial or full closures are planned for some days in September and October.
Maintenance, installation of equipment and cleaning work will be carried out in the Bad Godesberg tunnel beginning on Sunday, September 17. This first phase will last until Friday, September 22 and then there will be a second phase from Sunday, October 8 through Friday, October 20. During these periods, the tunnel will be either partially or fully closed at night. The City of Bonn made the information public on Wednesday.
Initially, workers will be installing mounts for a radio system under the tunnel roof. This work will take place in September. Work on the water drainage system, the speaker system and lighting will take place in October.
On Monday, October 16, the loudspeaker system will be tested at 9 pm. During this time, there may be announcements over the speakers or test tones throughout the tunnel.
During the work phases in September and October, the tunnel closures will begin at 9 pm and they will be lifted at 5 am in the morning. Motorists are asked to please obey the signs indicating the closures. A detour route will be posted. (Orig. text: gpe)
