25-year-old arrested Attempted robbery at petrol station in Plittersdorf
Bonn · Police arrested a 25-year-old on Saturday morning after an attempted robbery of a petrol station in Bonn Plittersdorf. Witnesses had followed and detained the man after he fled.
A 25-year-old tried to rob a petrol station on Godesberger Allee in Plittersdorf on Saturday morning. According to police on Monday, the man stepped up to the counter around 7.50am, threatened the female petrol station employee, who was alone, with a knife and demanded she hand over cash. The 25-year-old fled from the petrol station empty-handed and on foot after the cashier shouted loudly for help.
Two witnesses saw the incident and according to police ran after the fugitive. They were able to stop the 25-year-old at Hochkreuzallee and held him until the police arrived. They arrested the 25-year-old, who was known to police for violent crimes, and secured the knife. A judge ordered that he be remanded in custody.
