Fatal accident 94-year-old cyclist dies after collision with truck
Bonn · An accident on Thursday morning near the Victoria Bridge claimed the life of a 94-year-old man. He was out on his bicycle when he collided with a truck.
A 94-year-old man died as a result of injuries suffered when he collided with a truck while he was on his bicycle. According to police, a 50-year-old truck driver was in his vehicle on Wittelsbacher Ring, waiting at a red light. He was headed in the direction of the Victoria Bridge.
When the light turned green, the truck driver proceeded to drive ahead and collided with the bicycle rider. It is still unclear as to exactly what led to the accident and from which direction the bicycle was coming. The 94-year-old was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He died there as a result of his injuries.
