Women harassed at main train station 17-year-old arrested after sex offences in Bonn

Bonn · A 17-year-old has been arrested at Bonn’s main train station after allegedly sexually harassing several women. A taxi driver came to the aid of one of the women.

Police arrested a 17-year-old youth at around 3am on Sunday morning because he is suspected of pestering and sexually harassing several women in the area surrounding Bonn’s main train station. Police said on Monday that one incident was sexual assault.

According to police information, a 41-year-old taxi driver intervened when he saw one of the attacks. He took the woman to safety and notified the police. Another victim has subsequently contacted officers. The 17-year-old allegedly touched her inappropriately.

Police say the suspect is a Somali who was missing from a young people’s home at the time of the incident.

Police also have information that two other women were sexually harassed by the youth on Colmantstraße and are asking the victims to contact them on 0228/150.
