The former star of the FC Cologne soccer team, Lukas Podolski, made a detour to Bonn on Wednesday evening. He paid a visit to the recently opened branch of his ice cream parlor "Ice Cream United" in the city center.

While the University of Bonn was awarded the title "University of Excellence", it was taken away from the University of Cologne. In return, the Cologne university will receive millions in payments from the state.

World stars Chilly Gonzales, Albert Hammond and Paolo Conte will be performing this weekend at Roncalliplatz in Cologne. Tickets are still available for the concert series, taking place in front of the cathedral.
