Huma in Sankt Augustin Old Huma mall torn down
Sankt Augustin · The old Huma shopping mall is being torn down and a new, modern one is being built in two phases.
If you were looking for a shopping mall nearby in the past years, you might have ventured to Sankt Augustin to the old Huma indoor shopping center. But that is being torn down now after 38 years. Demolition work is expected to be completed in April.
Shoppers don’t have to worry because in its place, a new Huma is being erected. Phase One of the new Huma shopping center was completed in October of 2015. The second phase should be completed in 2017. Costs of the project are around 130 million Euro.
The cities of Troisdorf and Siegburg failed in their appeal against the project. They took issue with the size of space that would be used for textiles. Another complaint was filed against the building but will apparently be terminated as well.
