New Zealander Merryn Rautenberg is the lucky winner of the Bonnanza Burger Factory dinner voucher. Merryn has been in Bonn since 2005 and works at the Deutsche Post DHL Group in brand marketing. She has been an enthusiastic fan of GA English since hearing about the service through friends’ Facebook pages and now reads “many, many articles”.

Like many expats here in Bonn, she has only “pretty basic” German and does not find reading a German newspaper very easy. “I’d prefer to go for an English version,” she says. She used to rely on word-of-mouth for finding out about local happenings but now loves how GA English keeps her more in touch with local news and events. “Everybody, no matter where they come from, wants feel part of their community,” says Merryn, “and so it’s wonderful to have all of the information at your fingertips.” Her favourite feature is definitely our handy weekly list of radar controls but she enjoys the mix of stories and information we offer.
