Bad Godesberg gastronomy Redüttchen to reopen

Bad Godesberg · A Bad Godesberg restaurant in a historic building will reopen in mid-September.

Next to the rather majestic looking Redoute in Bad Godesberg is a quaint yellow house called the Redüttchen. It was once the gardener’s house. Having functioned in recent years as a restaurant, it’s been closed for around three years now. On Friday, September 16, it will open up again as a restaurant run by Klaus W. Sasse, who previously managed Carpe Diem in Cologne and Sanct Peter in Walporzheim.

Christoph von Borries, who runs the Redoute said they wanted to send a positive signal about gastronomy in Bad Godesberg since the historic Aennchen restaurant had been closed down. The new head chef at the Redüttchen will be Matthias Pietsch; Borries said the new team looks forward to winning back business in the region.

As for the culinary concept, Borries would only say that they planned to cater to the theatre and movie crowd. People should have a place to go and eat after taking in a movie or a show. When it reopens, the Redüttchen will have opening hours five days a week, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 5 p.m. (Orig. text:wem)
