The patience of car drivers in the north of Bonn is still being put to a hard test: Due to the complete closure of the Thomastrasse in both directions, some of the vehicles are backed up to the distribution circle at Potsdamer Platz and vice versa on the Cityring. A detour is signposted via Bornheimer Straße and Ellerstraße.

The reason for the closure is complex work on the Viktoria Bridge, where the last sections of the eastern bridge superstructure of the Viktoria Bridge in the area of Thomastrasse will be installed by Wednesday morning. Due to the larger component weights of around 60 tons each, the bridge box has to be placed in two sections on scaffolding towers above Thomastrasse and welded on site via a working platform. The closure will be lifted again on Wednesday at around 6 am.

The situation on Brühler Strasse in the north of Bonn should ease again: A canal construction site at the corner of Am Krähenhorst/ Justus-von-Liebig-Straße/Brühler Straße with corresponding traffic lights has been causing long backlogs for weeks now. Workers are currently clearing the site. As previously reported, a new office complex is being built there.
