Bonn/Region · The weekend in Bonn and the region there’s a lot on offer again – we really cannot complain, huh? Whether it’s the light spectacle "Bonn shines" in the city centre, a Pink Floyd tribute band in Cologne or a family concert in the opera house – there should be something for everyone among the events listed in our tips.

Bonn shines

Between 31 October and 3 November the city shines in bright colours. Light installations will be installed throughout the city, allowing for a slightly different view. There will also be events, tours and other things going on. Like for example, there will be a food festival, at which at least 60 food trucks and food stands invite visitors to feast, and a children's merry-go-round and bungee jumping will be offered for the smaller guests. The 3rd of November is also an open Sunday. More information can be found here.

History of the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck

Those who are interested in the history and architecture of the Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck and wanted to take a look at the current exhibitions anyway could join the public guided tour on Friday from 3 pm to 4 pm. The meeting point is located in the foyer at the cash desk.

Horror party in Siegburg

One day after Halloween the horror in Siegburg is not ending. The "Scary Friday" party takes place in the Klangfabrik. With authentic decoration, creepy cocktails and a half price dinner menu, if you come dressed up, the scary Halloween will be celebrated one more day later in Siegburg. From 8.45 p.m. a shuttle bus will take visitors free of charge from the Siegburg railway station to the Klangfabrik and back.

The Rheinreden - U20 - Poetry-Slam Bonn

The lounge of the Bonn Pantheon is regularly filled with young, colourful and loud people when talented young poets - between ten and 20 years of age - come on stage and recite lyrics they have written themselves. There can only be one winner of the region's first U-20 slam. The event will be moderated by Ella Appearance, who was U20 NRW champion herself in 2017.

Brit Floyd: "Tribute to Pink Floyd"

Brit Floyd is considered one of the best cover bands of Pink Floyd. On Friday, they will stop by at the Cologne E-Werk on their tour "The Wall" and play songs like "Another Brick In The Wall" and "Wish you were here".

Tattoo Convention "Tattoo Tattaa" at Base Camp

On November 2nd and 3rd the Tattoo Convention will take place at the Base Camp in Bonn. 60 national and international artists show their skills and the hottest trends in the scene. There will also be street food, a children's programme and live shows. Tickets are available from twelve euros.

Cabaret artist Lisa Eckhart at Brückenforum

She is considered a great talent in cabaret. Lisa Eckhart will perform her program "The advantages of vice" at the Beueler Brückenforum on Saturday. She plays a narcissist, loves the German language and her show is about the fact that God died of chronic boredom and in the reading of the will it is said that all people have been disinherited from original sin. From now on no one is bad any more, every vice is now exempt from punishment and hell is closed because of renovation work. Tickets in advance are available from 24 Euro.

Eckart von Hirschhausen and the WDR Funkhaus Orchestra

Eckart von Hirschhausen is presenting the WDR Funkhausorchester playing "Immortal Music", which invites you to smile and sing along. The well-known TV doctor explains why music fascinates people and why even sad music can make them happy.

Beauty and the Beast in Troisdorf

For the whole family, the musical highlight „Beauty and the Beast" will be performed in Troisdorf on Saturday. The play lasts 120 minutes and tickets are available in advance from eleven Euro for children and 13 Euro for adults.

Bonner SC against 1. FC Cologne U23

On Sunday, the second selection of 1. FC Cologne will play against the Bonner SC in the Sportpark Nord. After two defeats in a row, the Rheinlöwen want to win. The Bonners are currently in seventh place in the league table and could push the Kölner from fifth place with a win.

Guided tour of the former Bundestag

Bonn still celebrates its past as an old federal capital. Therefore, all the facilities that were of great importance at that time are still a magnet for tourists in Bonn today. On Sunday there will once again be an opportunity to visit the plenary hall of the former German Bundestag.

Clara! at the Bonn Opera House

In honour of Clara Schumann, a family concert will be held at the Bonn Opera House on 3 November, featuring works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn and Robert Schumann. The event is recommended for children aged seven and over. Admission is 20 minutes before the concert begins. The concert will last 60 minutes.
