Under the motto “One run – three races”, the second Bonn St. Nicholas run took place in the Rheinaue in Bonn on Sunday. The runners covered distances of either 3.4 kilometres, 6.7 kilometres or 10 kilometres around a circuit.

The “SpeedRun” was new this year, which was aimed at all runners who wanted to run a bit faster. In addition, all primary school children born between 2010 and 2013 had the chance to take part in the “mini-St. Nicholas Run” around a shortened circuit of about one kilometre.

A medal and a chocolate Santa Claus awaited all the children at the finish. Again this year, a good cause was associated with the race. The “Bonn is running!” association will donate two euros per participant to the “Bunter Kreis Rheinland” association, which helps chronically and seriously ill children, children suffering from cancer, as well as premature babies and their families.
