Meteorological start of winter What’s in store for Bonn and the region

Bonn/Region · The start to the meteorological winter begins this Saturday with the first of December. Here’s what it will bring to Bonn and the region.

Early Thursday morning was icy and cold, there was not much left of the golden autumn in Bonn and the region. But the coming days should be a little milder. On Friday, temperatures could reach as high as 13 degrees Celsius. But the sun will hardly peek through the cloud cover, and meteorologists estimate the probability of rain at 60 percent.

The start of the meteorological winter on Saturday will hardly be any colder, but it will be much more uncomfortable. The temperature will remain at eleven degrees, but there is a 90 percent chance that it will be a rainy start to the winter season for Bonn and the region. On Saturday, the sun will have no chance against a gray cloud cover in the sky.

A slight temperature rise up to 14 degrees is expected for Bonn and the region on Sunday. Whether the weather then is inviting enough for an extensive winter walk is questionable - the probability of precipitation remains at 80 percent.
