Nighttime opening of the Botanical Garden: It’s not often that one gets to go inside the Botanical Gardens in the dark. Tours (in German) will be offered Friday evening at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The new Monsoon House is also open for the first time. Botanical Gardens at Poppelsdorf Castle, go to main entrance in front on Meckenheimer Allee 169, 3 euros admission, discounted rate of 1 euro for those who qualify

IBIS Summer Fete and Alumni Reunion: Independent Bonn International School celebrates the diversity of cultures from around the world and the end of the school year. Flea market in the Rheinaue: It’s time for the next big flea market in the Rheinaue Park. It’s one of the largest in Germany and is held every third Saturday of the month from March through October, attracting numerous visitors, dealers and bargain seekers.
