March 29 – 31 Tips for the weekend in Bonn and the region

On Saturday, Beuel's the place to be. With the spring festival, the first Beuel pub night and the Gentleman concert, three major events are coming up. But there is plenty more to discover. Here are our event tips for the weekend.

Friday, March 29

Street food market in Bad Godesberg

25 professional and hobby chefs prepare international culinary delights on the weekend at the Theaterplatz in Bad Godesberg. Vegans and meat lovers are equally well catered for.

Puetzchen's historical fairground

The third "Historical Fair" in Pützchen is open until Easter. On approximately 3000 square metres, nine rides from the 18th and 19th centuries, among others, invite you on a journey into the past of Rhenish amusement culture. The use of the rides and performances is free of charge.

"Michael Jackson: On the Wall"

Seldom has an exhibition in the Bundeskunsthalle been so controversial. The show, produced by London's National Portrait Gallery, shows works by artists such as Andy Warhol, Isa Genzken, Paul McCarthy, Louise Lawler, and Candice Breitz.

Critical Mass Bonn

Every last Friday of the month cyclists gather in Bonn for a "cheerful protest ride". The distance is decided by the group according to their mood. At the end there’s a relaxed get-together and people might go for a beer together.

Saturday, March 30

Gentleman at the Telekom Forum

At this year's "Over-the-border" festival, musical boundaries will be overcome for the fourth time. The superstar of the festival is certainly the Cologne reggae singer Gentleman. On Saturday he will play at the Telekom Forum in Beuel. Support act is the international reggae band Banda Senderos from Essen.

1st pub night in the Bermuda Triangle

And with this, we are staying right in the centre of Beuel. From 5 pm the first Beuel pub night with live music starts in the "Bermuda Triangle". Five locations close together take part: Brückenforum, Gaststätte Adler, Dante, Rheinbrücke and El Horizonte. The end is planned for 3 am.

Stereolith in cult 41

Contrast program to Gentleman wanted? Then a visit to Kult 41 might be worth it. The Koblenz band Stereolith play a mixture of Grunge, Punk, Desert, Stoner- and Psychedelic Rock. The Sombrero Skulls are supporting. It will get loud and wild.

Sunday, March 31

Vintage Kilo Sale at BaseCamp

Germany's biggest pop-up event for second-hand clothing comes to Bonn. Selected vintage clothes from the 1960s to 1990s are sold on Sunday at the BaseCamp for 35 Euro per kilo. In addition there will be wine, snacks and music. The event, which is also taking place in other cities, is organised by the Social Entrepreneurship „Vinokilo".

"Planet 3.0 - Climate.Life.Future“

With extraordinary exhibits and interactive stations, the exhibition "PLANET 3.0 - Climate.Life.Future" in the Museum König invites you on a journey into the past, the present and a possible future of our planet.

Beueler Spring Festival

At the weekend, Beuel will be kicking into spring mode on the Rhine promenade and in the Beueler City. The Spring Festival is the first major open-air event of the year in the district.

Where: Beuel city centre and Rhine promenade, from the Chinese ship to the greedy pontoon

When: Saturday, 30 March, from 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, 31 March, from 11 am to 6 pm
