August 25 picnic Three "Dinner in White" locations next weekend

BAD GODESBERG/WACHTBERG · Here’s a chance to have a slightly refined picnic in white, along with friends and neighbors. “Dinner in White” may have come from Paris, but people here are also enthusiastic about the concept, and three locations will be participating this year.

„Dîner en blanc“ will be held in three locations in Bad Godesberg and Wachtberg on August 25 next weekend. The picnic idea from Paris is one that continues to gain in popularity. Guests come dressed totally in white.

It will be the first time for “Dinner in White” in Wachtberg-Villiprott, where citizens will come together at 5:30pm at the alten Spielplatz (old playground). It will be the second time for the picnic in white at the Trinkpavillon (Drinking Pavilion) at the Godesberg Stadthalle. And because it was so successful last year, the association Bürger.Bad.Godesberg invites everyone to come to the "Dîner en Blanc". This time around there will be music: pianist Simon Below accompanies the singing of actor Frank Oppermann. The dinner starts at 6 pm at the drinking pavilion behind the Stadthalle, Koblenzerstraße 80.

Guests bring their own tables, chairs, white tablecloths, candles, outdoor lamps, drinks and a picnic with several courses to serve. For a small donation, the association also rents tables and chairs. You can reserve a table by writing to: info@buergerbadgodesberg.de.

For the citizens' initiative "Save the American Settlement Plittersdorf", the “Dinner in White” has become a tradition already. It is held on the grounds between Europastrasse and Steubenring. Here, residents, neighbors and friends of the American settlement will meet up at 6pm on August 25. Participants need to bring along their own seating and picnic dinner. White clothes are desirable in Plittersdorf, but not necessarily required.
