Slipknot and Tool in the line-up These bands are coming to Rock am Ring 2019

Nürburg · The organizers of the popular music festival Rock am Ring have announced via Facebook the acts that will be performing in 2019. Already more than 80,000 tickets for the event next year have been sold.

On Tuesday, organizers announced the line-up for the popular music festival Rock am Ring, scheduled for June 7 to June 9 in 2019. Two new headliners are on the roster: American heavy metal band Slipknot and the progressive rockers Tool from Los Angeles. Slipknot is as successful as it is controversial, and it returns to the Eifel after its last appearance in 2015. The U.S. rock band Tool returns to the festival after a long absence, as they begin their Europe tour in June in Berlin. According to the organizers of the festival, visitors can look forward to "exclusive appearances".

For fans of even harder rock genres, also confirmed are: Dropkick Murphys, Slash feat. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, The BossHoss, Sabaton, Amon Amarth, Fine Cream Fish Fillet, Architects, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Arch Enemy, Hot Water Music and Halestorm.

National and international hip hop will be brought to the festival by Alligatoah, Bonez MC & RAF Camora, Kontra K, SDP and Die Antwoord.

Also announced are the Indie bands Bastille, The 1975 and the Foals. Welshly Arms, Against The Current, Blackout Problems and Power Trip are the musical newcomers on the festival scene.

Already in summer, organizers had announced the German rapper Casper as headliner. Marek Lieberberg, the organizer of Rock am Ring, announced at a press conference on the last day of this year's festival that the Ärzte will also perform.

Tickets cost 169 euros. More than 80,000 tickets are said to have been sold already for the festival next year. Tickets are available at bonnticket.
