In numerous comments, the users listed which restaurants, pubs, museums or shops make the city very special for them. Here’s a look at their insights:

From fast food to regional food

Above all, the group was quick to come up with favorite eating establishments. Lenné snack in the south of Bonn was one of them. Owner Adrian Plonka serves everything the fast food heart desires: from pizza, flammkuchen and burgers to steaks and Polish cuisine. The Frittebud is also an important address for fans of fast food in Bonn. There are fries and home-made burgers in the small shop in Nordstadt, where the few seats are almost always full. Cala-Dor was also on the list of numerous popular fast food places in Bonn. The cult pizzeria is the address for anyone who has a hunger attack in the middle of the night.

Besides all the fast food places, beer gardens and restaurants were also amongst the favorites of the Facebook users. The brewery Bönnsch in the heart of Bonn represents the typical Rhineland lifestyle. In addition to Rhineland specialties such as Himmel un Äd or Rhenish Sauerbraten, guests can enjoy three different varieties of the specially produced Bönnsch beer. The Bierhaus Machold in Bonn's old town has already passed its 100-year history. It’s well-preserved state puts it on the list of places protected under Bonn’s historical preservation orders. The Wirtshaus Rheinbrücke on the banks of the Rhine in Beuel serves typical Rhenish dishes, such as "Sauerbraten from horse ".

On the banks of the Rhine, there are many places that make the city unique according to the Facebook users. In good weather, Bonners like to drink their beer while overlooking the Rhine and the Siebengebirge (Seven Mountains). A few examples were the beer garden "Zum Rheinblick" on the banks of the river, or in the beer garden at the Alte Zoll, where many students and night owls spend their evenings in the summer. So-called “Silent parties” or even small concerts often take place here in good weather. Also the beer garden in the Bonn Rheinaue was recommended in the online discussion. There are jazz concerts every Sunday along with beer and food.
