Traffic accident Seven injured in car crash in Wachtberg

Wachtberg-Pech · Three cars were involved in an accident on Friday evening near the speed camera on Pecher Straße (L158). The road was closed for over two hours.

The fire brigade said a total of seven people were injured in an accident on Pecher Straße (L158) on Friday evening. Three cars collided with each other near the speed camera at around 5.15pm. The road was closed for over two hours causing huge problems in the evening rush hour.

On Friday evening, the police were not able to say exactly what had happened. Those at the scene said an overtaking manoeuvre has possibly caused the accident. The fire brigade said no-one needed to be cut free from their vehicle.

Several emergency doctors and ambulance crews treated those involved and police said one person was seriously injured and taken to the University Hospital. The other passengers were also taken to hospitals for check ups. The road was re-opened at around 8pm.
