Crime report : Robberies over the holidays

Police ask for your help if you have any information or tips about the following crimes.

Wachtberg. Police have not been able to find out how criminals entered a house in Wachtberg on Pappelweg between March 19 and 26. A laptop and a television were stolen from the home but no break-in signs were immediately evident.

Bad Godesberg. Meanwhile, thieves pried open the patio door of a home on Weißburgstraße sometime between March 23 and 28. It is not yet clear as to what was taken. On March 24, burglars broke into an apartment house on Kantstraße by prying open a window. EC cards were stolen from the apartment. On Good Friday, burglars got into a single family home on Pirolweg by prying open the patio door, setting off the alarm at 8:15 p.m. Thieves attempted a break-in at a home on Köllenhof in Ließem but a well-secured window prevented them from getting in.

Mehlem. Four teens were threatened and robbed at about 9:00 p.m. while on the riverbank of the Rhine in Mehlem on Easter Sunday. Police investigations until now depict four men armed with a knife and a pistol, demanding the youth hand over their valuables. They gave the robbers a small amount of cash and the suspects then fled towards Austraße. Another witness says they then went in the direction of Mainzer Straße. The suspects are described as ages 17 to 25, wearing dark clothing, scarves covering their faces and hoods pulled over their heads. Police searched immediately for the suspects but could not find them.

Plittersdorf. On Easter Sunday morning at around 5:30 a.m., a 27-year-old man was mugged on Ubierstraße. One man approached the victim to ask for directions, while another three men approached and held him, searching through his clothing. He was able to break away from the muggers and escape but noticed then that his Smartphone was missing. The suspects fled on Ubierstraße to the north. They are described as around 25 to 26-years-old, with short black hair. The man who asked for directions is described as 1.8 meters tall, sturdily built, having a goatee, hair shaved on the sides, wearing a blue pullover, brown leather jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
