Disturbance in Muffendorf Police investigate shots fired and hate speech

Some residents in Muffendorf were roused from their sleep after midnight on Wednesday by shots fired out in the night and shouts of "Heil Hitler". Police located three suspects

In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, police were called to Muffendorf in the district of Bad Godesberg. There, two men, aged 24 and 31, as well as a 31-year-old woman, were said to have fired several shots from an alarm gun at around 25 minutes past midnight. They are also said to have shouted out “Heil Hitler.”

According to police information made available on Thursday, residents were roused from their sleep by the incident and they contacted the police. The three alleged offenders were located in an apartment on Muffendorfer Hauptstraße. According to the police, the trio admitted firing off ten shots and yelling out from the apartment, where the windows had been open.

The weapon and ammunition were seized. Police also filed a criminal complaint against the three intoxicated suspects for incitement of hatred and violation of the Weapons Act. An investigation has been launched.
