A 51-year-old woman is said to have been raped at Bonn central station last Wednesday night. Police are investigating, but many details of the crime are still unknown. Bonn police are investigating a suspected rape at the main station. As police spokesman Robert Scholten confirmed on Tuesday in response to a GA request, the officers were called to the main station at about 1.30 am on Wednesday, January 30. A woman, covered with only a few clothes, had asked a taxi driver for help.

The 51-year-old woman stated that she had met a man at the main station around 10.45 pm. Between 10.45 pm in the evening and 1.30 am during the night, rape is said to have taken place in the immediate vicinity of the station. "We are investigating a possible sexual offence", confirmed Scholten. However, Scholten was unable to provide many details about the crime on Tuesday. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that no possible knowledge of the perpetrators has yet been revealed for tactical reasons. On the other hand, the victim has not yet been questioned. Therefore, there is no description of the perpetrator.

"We take the investigations very seriously", Scholten said. Therefore, it will also be examiningwhether there is a connection to a similar case in October last year. On October 25, a 45-year-old woman turned to a passer-by at 7.20 am at the station. She was also raped. The perpetrator has not yet been found, the suspect is said to be a 35- to 40-year-old man. According to police, both victim and perpetrator of the October incident are part of the Bonn drug scene. "The case is currently considered unsolved," Scholten said.
