A motorcyclist was slightly injured in the first accident on Saturday morning. The 38-year-old was on Rochusstraße at around 1.30am heading towards Alfter, when a car coming from “Im Putzgarten” on the right suddenly took his right of way. The bike rider had to break so suddenly that he fell. The car driver stopped briefly at Rene-Schikele-Straße, but according to police reports did not get out of his vehicle but simply drove off after a few moments.

A driver behind the motorbike initially looked after the slightly injured rider. Then he drove after the absconder but could no longer catch him.

The motorcyclist was treated by an ambulance crew at the scene and could then continue his journey. The crash caused damage of around Euro 400 to the bike.

Parked cars damaged

Late on Saturday evening, police were then called out again to an accident from which the alleged culprit had simply absconded. A resident heard a loud bang on Gerhard-Rohlfs-Straße shortly before midnight and saw a white car drive off at the last moment. The driver had damaged two cars parked on the roadside when driving by.

The 43-year-old witness claims he saw a man at the wheel of the car. Police said the car that caused the accident was probably a white Volvo.

As the resident was able to read parts of the number plate of the car involved in the accident, the police immediately began a search for the vehicle, but without success. There was total damage of Euro 4000 to the two parked cars.

The Bonn police traffic commissioner’s office has started investigating both incidents and is asking witnesses with information about the accidents to call 0228-150.
