Remigiusplatz in Bonn Observation tower "City Skyliner" to be set up

Bonn · The 81 meter high observation tower "City Skyliner" will be assembled on Thursday and Friday at Remigiusplatz. During this time there may be some constraints and noise in the pedestrian zone.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Bonn Christmas Market, the "City Skyliner" lookout tower from Pützchens Markt will be set up in Bonn city center. The 81 meter high tower will be assembled on Thursday and Friday at Remigiusplatz. The City of Bonn points out that there may be some constraints and noise in the pedestrian zone and Remigiusstrasse during this time.

Under police escort, a heavy transport will arrive on Thursday morning at about 4 am via the B9, driving in the opposite direction on the one-way street at the Hofgarten to Martinsplatz. The heavy transport, carrying the individual components of the tower, will drive through the pedestrian zone to its destination via Remigiusstrasse. At around 6 am, the construction of the lower and middle sections begins.

The remaining parts will be delivered on Friday. Further heavy loads will be transported via the A555 to Potsdamer Platz, continuing on Heinrich Böll Ring, Bornheimer Straße, Oxfordstraße, Belderberg, Rathausgasse and am Hof to Martinsplatz. In the course of the day, the remaining components will be built up until the "City Skyliner" has reached its height of 81 meters.
