Aggressive teens in Cologne: Police clears Zülpicher place after new escalation
On Saturday evening, the police had to intervene at Zülpicher Platz in Cologne due to increased bodily injury offences. 350 youths had gathered there, partied and drank alcohol until the mood changed for the worse around 5 pm. The police detained several underage troublemakers on site, recorded their personal details and later handed them over to their parents. It was only the evening before that the police on Zülpicher Platz had to take action against a group of about 500 juvenile troublemakers, some of whom had attacked police officers. Car chase ends in Hangelar in accident: 16-year-old pretended to be a policeman
The car chase a drunk 16-year-old boy undertook with the police ended in an accident, in which he and a 21-year-old driver were injured. He had previously posed as a plain-clothes policeman and asked for papers. When the driver complied with the request, the 16-year-old had seized the car and fled in the direction of Sankt Augustin/Hangelar. The person whose car he took immediately alerted the police, who soon discovered the fugitive on the B56 in Hangelar. Original text: GA Bonn
