KunstRasen in the Rheinaue: Sting concert in Bonn cancelled

After Sting had to call off several gigs due to illness, the concert planned for Monday at the KunstRasen in Bonn was also cancelled. Town hall in Troisdorf: Abitur celebration ends with police deployment

Troisdorf. A sorry end to a graduation celebration at the Troisdorfer Stadthalle: Two groups got into conflict and for an 18-year-old the celebration ended in police custody. He is awaiting criminal proceedings.

According to officials, there was a dispute between two groups around 4.20 a.m.. An 18-year-old man from Bonn was particularly aggressive: Even in the presence of the police, he repeatedly provoked other people and challenged them to a fight.

Since the young man also defied the instructions of the police, the officers took him into custody. An alcohol test revealed a value of 1.52 per mille for the aggressive man. During the search of the man, the police also found marijuana and seized it. Criminal proceedings were instituted against the man.

Between Nordbrücke and Bonn-Nordost: Construction site on the A565 to last longer

Bonn. The NRW State Roads Office provided new up-to-date information about the mammoth renewal projects on the Bonn motorways at busy locations. Further dates are planned for August and September. Schaffrath announced bad news with the ongoing three-lane expansion on the A565 in the section between Nordbrücke and the Bonn-Nordost junction in the direction of Cologne. There, the hard shoulder will be developed into a driving lane. "Due to the installation of an unplanned retaining wall and the necessary replanning of the drainage system, we will not be finished until the end of the year," said Schaffrath. Drivers will still have to face narrow lanes for the time being.

Pappelweg in Niederpleis: Man throws objects from balcony

Sankt Augustin. Several objects, including furniture, according to witnesses, has been thrown by a 22-year-old from the balcony of a house in Sankt Augustin on Saturday. The man is said to have deliberately aimed objects at passers-by. The police were called out. The police finally managed to overpower the man in his apartment and handcuff him. Since there were indications that the man was in a poor state of mental health, the responsible public health office was called in. The police also found narcotics in the 22-year-old man's apartment and seized them. Investigations into the overall circumstances are still ongoing.

With their app "Insight Heart", the Bonn developers Rodrigo and Pablo Olmos have no lesser goal than "the democratization of learning content".
