Bad Godesberg: Elderly couple gets lost in underground car park

A 90-year-old couple got lost in the car park at the Schwertberger Straße in Bad Godesberg. Last weekend, the street food festival meant it was very busy all around - thus the elderly couple tried to avoid the packed streets and decided to park at the Fronhofer Galeria. But when they got a ticket and parked the car they found the stairs closed and the lift not in service.

A younger couple had similar problems at the other end of the car park. The parking lot management refers to the limited services outside of business hours and did not comment on the situation. The Galeria management did explain though that the lifts were not in use so that nobody can enter the shopping center. Only the exit near Healthcity is open 24/7 - but it’s not signposted. And not easily accessible for people with a handicap or the elderly. Original text: Scarlet Schmitz
