Local transport in Bonn Months of closures at Hochkreuz stop

Bonn · Train passengers will have to adapt to changes at the Hochkreuz stop in the coming months. Closures are expected until mid-November because of renovation works.

The Hochkreuz stop will be closed on alternating sides in each direction of travel for three months from Monday 6 May until Friday 15 November. The Stadtwerke Bonn (SWB) said on Monday that the stop would first be closed and renovated in the Bonn direction and then in the Bad Godesberg direction.

During the works, the lines 16, 63 and 67 will not halt at the stop. “Passengers can use Max-Löbner-Straße and Wurzerstraße as alternatives,” SWB stated in its announcement. The Max-Löbner-Straße stop is about 600 metres on foot from Hochkreuz, while Wurzerstraße around 750 metres away.

SWB is advising passengers who are unable to cover this distance on foot because of reduced mobility to travel one stop further and then board a train in the opposite direction.
