Normally the motorway police are responsible, but the danger situation was very acute, so Bonn officials hurried in. They finally managed to overwhelm the confused and aggressive 66-year-old.

In the meantime, he had hidden in a bush. After they had disabled him so that he couldn't hurt anyone, he was taken to the LVR clinic in another ambulance. According to police spokesman Robert Scholten, a report was made against the man who had attacked both the paramedics and the police.
