Restaurant scene L’Osteria opens a new branch in Bonn
Bonn · From the Bonner Bogen to the city centre: the L’Osteria restaurant chain has opened a new branch not far from the Münsterplatz. Among other things, there is a seasonal weekly menu that changes every two weeks.
The L’Osteria restaurant chain has now arrived in Bonn city centre. General manager Yasmine Poltorak and her team are now welcoming their guests over two floors with a total of 234 seats in the former Mambo City House at the Münster. A terrace is to be opened in front of the building in the spring.
The L’Osteria franchise business celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. There are 104 branches throughout Europe, 94 of them in Germany. The new building at the Bonn Münster is one of the 16 L’Osteria restaurants run by Kent Hahne and Udo Hänold.
Shelves made of metal lattice, a cosy lounge elegance with brown, reddish brown and matt red leather and upholstery colours as well as hanging lights with a seventies look define the ambience. The restaurant has a lift to the upper level.
From antipasti to tiramisu
The menu includes antipasti such as Vitello tonato (9.90 Euro) and pasta dishes like Spaghetti Pomodoro e Basilico (Euro 7.75) and Orecchiette di Manzo al limone (with strips of beef fillet) for twelve Euros. The pizzas at L’Osteria are characterised by their above-average diameter (45 centimetres): for example, the pizza Salsiccia Picante with mozzarella and pepperoni salami (12.25 Euro) or Braccio di Ferro with spinach, egg, cheese and garlic (9.75 Euro). For dessert, restaurant manager Yasmine Poltorak recommends the homemade tiramisu (5.25 Euro). Further main courses can be found on the seasonal weekly menu, which changes every 14 days.
The drinks menu has twelve wines by the glass (0.2l) for 4.70 Euro each, including Lugana from Viticultori in Veneto, as well as the Roman beer Peroni Nastro Azzurro (0.33l) for 3.70 Euro, aperitifs like L’Osteria Rosato Mio (0.2l) for 5.70 Euro and homemade lemonades, such as raspberry with lemon or grapefruit (0.3l) for 4.50 Euro each.
