Pink in all shades – as far as the eye can see. The cult surrounding the beauty of cherry blossoms, as experienced in Japan for hundreds of years, has also long since reached Bonn.
In the sheltered streets of Bonn’s Altstadt, the cherry blossoms are unfurling their own type of magic – especially at night. The warm and cloudless weather this week provides the right lighting, which not only the street photographer Andreas Ott knows how to use.
But for all its beauty, it is the imperfection in perfection that the Japanese love; the knowledge of the transience of this short moment.
