On Saturday and Sunday, a total of 12,000 carnival revellers celebrated carnival at “Bonn steht Kopp” at the Telekom Dome, which was sold out on both days. As in previous years, the events began with the traditional procession led by Prinz Thomas I, Bonna Anne-Christin I and Lord Mayor Ashok Sridharan. What followed was hours of pure carnival.

The cream of the Cologne-Bonn Carnival was on stage with bands such as Klüngelköpp, the Höhnern, the Bläck Fööss, Cat Ballou, Kasalla and Querbeat. Brings, supported by comedian “Dennis aus Hürth” (Martin Klempnow) also provided excitement by suddenly re-working their hit “Et jeilste Land” into a declaration of love for Bonn.

12,000 carnival revellers sang along and by then no one was still in their seat. The organisers are already planning for 2020 and advance sales begin on Monday.
