Roisdorf The fire brigade was called out late Thursday evening to a fire in a butcher's shop in Roisdorf. A cooling unit had caught fire. The Bonner Straße had to be closed from Herseler Straße.
On Thursday evening, the Bornheim fire brigade were deployed to the Bonner Strasse in Roisdorf at about 9.20 pm. A fire had broken out in the rear part of a residential building with a butcher's shop. According to the local operations manager, the fire had started in a cooling unit and then spread further. When the fire brigade arrived, it turned out that the roof had caught fire. Further fire-fighting forces were requested.
There were no people in the affected building or in the houses to either side at the time of the fire. A total of 66 firefighters brought the fire under control and prevented the fire from spreading to the neighbouring houses.
According to GA information, the sales room and the cold store of the shop were not damaged. In consultation with the owner, an electrician should now check whether a electricity supply can be installed so that the cooling units in the butcher's shop do not fail. During the operation, Bonner Strasse was closed from the Herseler Strasse.
