Autumn atmosphere Fall market opens in Bad Honnef on Wednesday

Bad Honnef · Awaiting visitors at the Bad Honnef Martini-Market is the taste and smell of autumn. Beginning on Wednesday, the aroma of potato pancakes, baked almonds and a layer of fresh wood chips underfoot will fill the air.

At the annual fall market in Bad Honnef this year, there are exactly 129 stalls or booths and rides such as carousels. The market map from Jürgen Kutter lists everything from a giant ferris wheel to silver jewelry to numerous food stalls. He has been organizing the Martini-Market in Bad Honnef for around twelve years now. Most of the stalls that will be used in the fall market arrived last Thursday already.

For the approximate 30 helpers who created the autumn village in the city center of Bad Honnef, their work took on a sort of pattern: lying down, building up, straightening up and cleaning up. Most of the set-up was completed on Friday and Saturday.

On Wednesday morning at 6am sharp, 25 cubic meters of wood chips will be delivered and distributed over the grounds. It’s the so-called icing on the cake for creating the cozy fall atmosphere. The market opens officially on Wednesday afternoon at 5pm.

The 23rd annual fall Martini-Market will take place from Wednesday to Sunday, October 24 - 28 in the city center of Bad Honnef, in the area of the Sankt Johann Baptist church, and between Hauptstraße and Bahnhofstrasse and Kirchstraße. Opening hours are 12pm to 9pm, Wednesday through Saturday, and 12pm until 7pm on Sunday. Stores will also be open for shopping on Sunday, from 1pm to 6pm.
