Cherry blossoms Explosion of colour in the Altstadt
Bonn · The cherry blossoms are in full bloom and were enjoyed by many in glorious weather at the weekend.
The transient splendour is here again: a bird’s eye view of Heerstraße at the moment looks as if a giant had swung a pink paintbrush between the grey house fronts. Beneath, cherry blossom fans from all over the world thronged together in the most glorious sunshine on Sunday to photograph the most beautiful scenes possible.
They were also able to buy the creative products by Altstadt residents at an arts and crafts market in the Marienschule school playground. The traditional door-to-door flea market on the district’s streets takes place this coming Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Depending on the weather, the splendour of the blossoms may just last until then.
