Summer holiday construction work Closures at Endenicher Ei junction from Monday

Bonn · At the beginning of the summer holidays this Monday morning, motorists are blocked by barriers at the Endenicher Ei junction: all entrances and exits are closed. This is not the only construction site in the city at the moment.

As in past weeks, further closures have been set up at the Endenicher Ei junction

The Endenicher Ei junction has been closed since Monday morning. While cyclists and pedestrians can still use the bridge, cars are met with barriers. All entrances and exits are closed during the summer holidays, travel is only possible on the main road B56 in one lane.

This is problematic for rush hour traffic: Those wanting to drive from the Reuterstraße towards Euskirchen can no longer turn off onto the B56 via the Endenicher Ei junction. This applies until 11 August. A diversion route, both on the A565 and the B56, is signposted by the NRW State Office for Highways.

The background to the closures is that steel anchors will be installed in the retaining walls along the motorway, followed by the construction of a temporary bridge over the A565.

In addition to the closures at the Endenicher Ei junction, there are some other major construction projects in the north and west, some of which will continue until September: Bornheimer Straße, Baumschulallee and Bonner Talweg.
