There are still no new facts in the case of the 18-year-old from Aegidienberg, who was found dead on Monday. Police spokesman Frank Piontek said on Wednesday in response to a GA inquiry that medical investigations into the cause of his death are still ongoing. As soon as the results become available, his family would be informed. Police continue to rule out the possibility of third parties being responsible for his death.

Paul K. had last been seen alive in Aegidienberg on Sunday, June 16, around 1:30 a.m., where, according to police reports, he said goodbye to friends at the corner of Aegidienberger Straße and Höveler Straße in order to go home. However, the 18-year-old did not arrive there, and there were no specific indications of where he might have been.

After a missing person report was filed, Bonn police initiated extensive search measures, including the use of a sniffer dog and a police helicopter. A photo of the 18-year-old was also published Monday at lunchtime. Not only the police, but also relatives, friends and residents searched for the missing young man.

Around 9:15 p.m. his lifeless body was discovered in the Logebach valley near Aegidienberg. An emergency doctor pronounced him dead at the scene . A chaplain is providing pastoral care and support for the relatives.
