BONN/MAINZ · The decision has been made: The Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK) moves its General Secretariat from Bonn to Berlin. The move is planned for 2022.

At their spring meeting in Mainz on Friday, the members of the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK) decided bya large majority to move the ZdK General Secretariat from Bonn to Berlin. About 30 employees are affected. The ZdK could move into a new building in Berlin-Mitte in 2022. Lord Mayor Ashok Sridharan bemoaned the decision, which he could not understand in view of the presence of the German Bishops' Conference in Bonn.
