Two armed men robbed a car dealership on Godesberger Straße on Friday afternoon. Police said the two masked men entered the salesroom at around 4pm and, according to eye witnesses, were armed with guns and demanded cash be handed over. One of the men opened the cash register and took more than 100 Euros in cash according to current information. He then fled on foot with the other perpetrator.

However, the men’s escape ended quickly after a search was immediately launched. The police were able to detain the two suspects, aged 17 and 34, close to the scene of the crime. They not only had the masks with them, but also the money. Officers took the men into custody.

At the request of the Bonn public prosecutor’s office, they appeared before a judge on Saturday, who issued arrest warrants for aggravated robbery. The arrest warrant for the 17-year-old was suspended and conditions imposed. Police investigations are continuing.
