Ten new infections last week Bonn: Number of corona-related deaths increases to seven

Bonn · On Wednesday, the city of Bonn announced the current figures of cases where people were infected with the coronavirus. Ten new infections were registered last week. 900 fines were imposed for violations of the safety measures.

In the past seven days, ten new infections with the coronavirus have been registered in Bonn. The figures in Bonn are thus significantly below the level at which an emergency mechanism (agreed upon between the federal and state governments) would take effect.

As of Wednesday, May 20, the public health department of the city of Bonn reports 18 people acutely ill with Covid-19. A total of 698 people have tested positive for the coronavirus so far. Seven people died as a result of the infection. According to the city of Bonn, the seventh victim was born in 1944 and had previous illnesses.

Bonn hospitals currently have 30 people from Bonn, as well as from the surrounding area and abroad, who are ill with Covid-19.

On Wednesday, the city also announced current figures on fines imposed. According to these figures, a total of 1200 charges for violations of the Corona Protection Ordinance have been filed with the fine office. 900 fine notices have been issued so far.

Since Friday, May 15, the city’s public order office counted 101 new cases that were related to the Corona rules. Nine new charges have been added.
