Brussel attacks Bonn mosque reacts

Bad Godesberg · Al-Ansar-Mosque in Bad Godesberg condemns the Brussels terror attack.

Al-Ansar-Mosque on Bonner Straße reacted to the terrorist attack in Brussels yesterday. “We are deeply shaken by these cowardly attacks on innocent people.” Spokesperson Mustapha Cadi added, “Terror does not have a religion,” referring to Islamic terrorists who call for a “Holy war.”

Cadi went on to say, “There is no difference between someone who glorifies the terror or someone who carries out the act.” To fight terrorism which is based on false notions, he said religious education is needed and mosques must support this. “We condemn and disassociate ourselves from these criminal and terrorist acts.”

A few years ago, Al-Ansar-Mosque attracted attention at their “Open door day” when a speaker was brought in to talk about Salafism, and he belonged to the Salafist scene himself. He had also disassociated himself from violence. (Orig. text: fa)
