Bonn's city director, Wolfgang Fuchs, said at a meeting of the Central Committee on Thursday evening that as of next week, masks will also be mandatory in municipal service buildings, for example the “Stadthaus” in Bonn. It applies to both visitors and employees. The staff will be given face masks to wear on the job.

As reported, the NRW state government has decided that, starting on Monday, citizens will have to wear mouth and nose protection in buses, on trams and trains and when shopping. A simple scarf, which can be pulled over the mouth and nose, is sufficient.

Also beginning on Monday, the Bonn city administration will extend its services to the public again and offer more appointments. Each request for an appointment will first be checked to see if it has to be handled in person. The city administration is also checking into whether it will generally be able to provide certain services in the future. All municipal service buildings are still only accessible by appointment, and there are still controls set up for entering the buildings.
