Since the weekend, six humorous scenes from Bonn city life have adorned the construction fence along Maximilianstraße at the former Bonner Loch. On display are scenes including the post office building with the Beethoven memorial, an aerial view of the city centre from the north or Bonn University with quidditch players and the Alle-mal-malen-Mann. The works are by the graffiti artist Simon Horn from Highlightz and the illustrator Lea Dickert.
Jan Lüth, managing director of Cassius Garten, commissioned the work to give his guests and passersby a more attractive outlook than the bare construction fence. “Guests and passersby are delighted,” says Lüth. Horn had already sprayed the terrace wall in front of the restaurant, which has since been demolished because of the construction works, with nature scenes. The three first met three months ago for the current project. The project developer “developer,” which is constructing the new building, also gave a special permit for the printed picture panels.
