Robin Jassoy draws a chalk circle around himself and his son on the pavement at Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz to mark a safe distance. On Friday the two stood and sat in their circle, wearing their face masks and silently demonstrating in the spirit of the Fridays for Future movement, reminding us not to lose sight of climate protection in the fight against corona virus.

A good 20 activists were demonstrating individually in the city centre and complied with all regulations. Although they responded to questions, they did not start up conversations with other people, nor did they shout out messages. Instead, they held up posters expressing their concerns.

Two participants on a bicycle with a trailer in the city centre were classified by the police as a meeting that should have been registered. However, the matter was resolved. The main concern of the activists: Don't now sit back and relax, “because the climate crisis should not take a back seat, even in corona times,” said activist Mia Hense, who was on Friedensplatz calling not only for the corona curve to be flattened, but also that of CO2 emissions. At the same time, the Fridays for Future movement promoted the "Digital Strike for Climate", which culminated in a nationwide live stream on Friday. A recording can be found on the FFF YouTube channel.
