Three men injured Incidents of violent assault in Bonn inner city
Bonn · Three men were victims of violent attacks in the inner city of Bonn on the weekend. A 19-year-old man was harassed and assaulted by a group of ten on the Brassertufer in Bonn and ultimately had to be taken to hospital.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday morning, a 19-year-old was harassed and insulted by a group of ten persons he encountered as he made his way along the Brassertufer promenade in Bonn. The 19-year-old reports that four of them then punched him.
When the 19-year-old was already lying on the ground, the group continued to attack him. According to the victim, they kicked him in the face.The group left the scene when a witness approached the area. To date, there are no exact descriptions of those who allegedly attacked the young man. The 19-year-old was taken to hospital.
On Saturday evening there were two muggings in the Hofgarten within an hour. Around 8:45 p.m., according to the police, a 20-year-old was attacked and asked to hand over cash. According to the victim, two companions of the suspect tried in vain to prevent him from carrying out his actions.
When the 20-year-old fell to the ground and called for help, passers-by became aware. The three unidentified persons fled towards Kaiserplatz. As a precaution, the 20-year-old was taken to hospital. According to witnesses, two of the suspects are 17 years old, 1.70 meters tall and have short, dark hair. The third person was significantly taller and had curly black hair.
At around 9:40 p.m., a 54-year-old man was on crutches heading for the Markt underground station. Suddenly a stranger stood next to him and tried to pull the 54-year-old's wallet out of his trouser pocket. The man fought back, and the would-be thief pushed him to the ground.
When he wanted to get up again, the mugger grabbed a nearby shopping cart and pushed it against the 54-year-old. The perpetrator grabbed a crutch and hit the man with it. Only when passers-by became aware did the culprit run away towards the banks of the Rhine. The 54-year-old was taken to a hospital, which he was able to leave again after receiving outpatient care.
According to witnesses, the perpetrator is 18 to 22 years old and about 1.70 to 1.75 meters tall. He wore black sweatpants with colored stripes on the side and a cap. In all three cases, any witnesses are asked to contact the police at 0228/150.
