Siegburg · An evacuation took place on Wednesday afternoon in Siegburg at the bus station and neighboring movie theater. The reason was an unaccompanied suitcase. After 45 minutes, the police gave an all clear.

The Siegburg bus station on Europaplatz and the neighboring movie theater were evacuated on Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, a suitcase without an owner had been found. Police cordoned off a wide area.

Police examined the suitcase and found only groceries inside. According to information from the city of Siegburg, the suitcase was x-rayed and found to be not harmful. It was then opened.

For train traffic, there was no disruption but the bus traffic was temporarily moved to the parking garage circle.
